How to be a good or bad student 

 The main way to be a good and appropriate student at school is to be well behaved. So here are some fine tips to make your curriculum way better.

The basics of being a good student is to listen to your teachers, respect others  and the school rules. Example, just a small thing like walking down the right side of the stairs helps everyone out, also to stay in the correct boundaries inside the school and outside on the playground

Another way to make your teachers pleased is to get to class on time and prepared for class. That is a very big thing! If you’re the first person in class, you might earn an award, such like pebs. Trust me, your teacher will not like it if u need to grab something out of your locker or use the bathroom as soon as class starts!  If you did happen to forget something in your locker, wait until your teacher is done explaining  what you need to do for this class.

If you see signs around the school saying DO NOT ENTER. Make sure to not enter the illegal area! There might be a private meeting for a class trip or something you don’t even want to hear!!!! No matter how curious you are, don’t enter without teachers permission.

CUSSING!! Make sure not to say anything inappropriate in class that is irrelevant to the subject, including swearing. It doesn't matter what you say with your friends, but in class, yes it does!

Those are the main things on how to be a GOOD student in class. 

This is not teaching you how to be bad. This is teaching you how to fix problems with bad students.

If some one is bullying you, you are a bigger person to walk away and tell a teacher.

If someone has made a mess in the bathroom, just clean it up, like its no big deal.

If you see someone getting bulled, stop it ASAP 1. By telling a teacher or 2. Stop it your self.

If you see your friend starting to do something horrible in class tell them to think about the consequences.

Grade 9 Graduation

Everybody come out to the grade 9 graduation at Hebbville Academy on June 27, 7:00pm-8:15pm, to say your finale goodbyes to the grade 9s of 2013/2014. It will be the last time you will see them all together. There will be awards, food and happy people. Dress in business casual. See you there.

11.     Take out your binders, book bag, shelves, etc.

22.     Throw out any food that you had in your locker.

33.     Place your locker shelves back in your locker neatly.

44.     Place your binders neatly back on your locker shelves.

55.     Place your other things neatly on the other shelves to your preference.

66.     Hang your book bag up on a hook.

77.     Hang your sweater/jacket up on a hook.

 Now you have a clean locker.

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR LOCKER

11.     Take out all of the papers.

22.     Take out any useless or unneeded papers.

33.     Put your dividers in.

44.     Divide the papers by subject and then order them by date.

Now you have a clean binder.

Hi I’m Alyssa and this is Justina. For our media project we’re going to introduce the organization Live different. Live different started as a Canadian charity in 2000. They try to make a difference in people’s lives.

            Live different was first called “Absolute Leadership Development”. Live different goes around to schools in Canada to put on a motivational production. They put on a concert style assembly.

            Live different has a program called “hero holidays”. Hero holidays provide opportunities to volunteer in relief projects to those who are living in extreme poverty. Some of the things they do are building homes, distributing supplies, providing food, and mobile medical clinics.

            Live different has an academy and the students spend time in Mexico completing a course on international social justice. You have to be 14 to go and participate in Mexico you do building projects, excursions, exploring, daily classes, chores, community projects, teaching, volunteering, rock picking, and working in the fields.

Awards night

           Awards night is on June 12 and is open from grade 6 to 9 in the gymnasium.  Come to see the academic excellence, track, basketball, social justice and other extra-curricular awards. Each family is allowed to bring two people free of charge anyone else is required to pay a fee of two dollars. There is always a fun time to be had socialize with the others attending the event, cheer for your friends and family who have revived one of these prestigious awards.
