B Girls Volleyball - CAMS Game is Cancelled

The B Girls Volleyball team had a game against CAMS scheduled for yesterday, November 20th. However, the Chester team was unable to attend, so the Hebbville team decided to hold a practice instead. They practiced several games moves including spiking, digs, and off the net hits. The girls then scrimmaged amongst themselves, practicing to call for the ball.
“They must learn how to call for the ball, they know this is an area to improve on,” said Mrs. Ferrier.

B Girls Volleyball - Home Tournament

The Hebbville Academy B Girls Volleyball team hosted their first home tournament on November 15th. With two courts set up in the gymnasium, games were held amongst the B volleyball teams from Hebbville Academy, Chester Area Middle School (CAMS), South Queens Junior High School, and Bridgewater Junior/Senior High School. Each game was the best 2 out of 3 sets, with the first 2 sets going to 25 points and the third going to 15 points.
Hebbville defeated South Queens in their first game, winning two sets in a row. Their second game against CAMS was a true nail biter. The girls won the first set 25-12. In the second set CAMS won with a score of 25-12. In the end, Hebbville came out on top, winning the final set 15-8! The coaches agreed this was their strongest game.
“The girls had strong serves and played the positions well. They showed a lot of self-confidence and in the end they earned a victory,” said coach, Mrs. Ferrier.
Their final game didn’t have such pleasing results. Hebbville lost to Bridgewater without winning any sets.
“Overall the tournament went well. The teams showed up on time, the girls appeared to be having fun and all basically on the same playing level!” beamed Mrs. Ferrier, “Our girls are very coachable and always try their best to improve their skills.”

Hebbville A Girls Volleyball

The Hebbville Academy, A girls Volleyball team, played at districts November 25. The girls played 4 hard fought games against New Germany, Cams, Bridgewater, and Bluenose Academy. Bayview and New Germany were knocked out of the district final in the first hour. Leaving only Bluenose, Bridgewater, Cams, and us to battle it out. We then played Cams and went to a very close third set, ending in Cams winning. But that didn’t stop us. We played Bridgewater losing in the first two sets. But everything turned around when we played our last game of the day against Bluenose and won! The A girls took third place loud and proud. The girls all day were cheering and playing amazing. All of the girls learned so much this season, and had a great time resenting their school! Great season girls and good Job!
